I bought this album on a whim (it was only like $5 on Amazon), despite never hearing of Antony and the Johnsons before. The album as a whole I’m still getting into but THIS SONG. Oh my god, it’s beautiful!

Growing up 90s, Heems-style.

This mixtape is pretty solid, much better than Kool AD’s (some good songs, but way too experimental for my taste). Heems proves once again that not only can he rap, but he can say some pretty serious stuff all while pulling it off with a punchline and wit (or vice versa). This song, “Bangles,” “It’s the Drug I’m Needing,” and “I Want It Bad (Liquid Heart)” are a few of the highlights on the album. I’m liking the Greedhead label and the music their putting out, I’m glad they’re doing well.

New Job

I just landed a sweet little part-time prep position at Epulo, an Italian bistro in the town I live in. I’m so happy right now. I finally get to work in a real kitchen! And I get to wear my whites!
